It's my first ' Kauai big stage' acting/singing role.
| Dec. 2, 2011 Update: We did the 7 shows. What an experience that was. Lots of effort. I love singing and being on the big stage. It was wonderful to get to meet and work with the many 30 plus children and adult actors, and many behind the scenes people who made it happen. |
Saturday, July 15, 2011 Music Update:
I just came back from the 9th Annual 4 day Kauai Music Conference last night. It has been such an inspiring and uplifting four days of music, learning and connecting. So many songwriters/singers/creators all gathered and sharing their craft.
Friday night found me onstage singing /dancing / back up for Fran Kalb! Songwriting contest winner Fran Kalb ( top of the class songwriter and singer/producer ) invited me and others to sing back up on the big KMF showcase stage on July 14, 2011 as she performed one of her original songs, Bad Habits. Also, that night, on the same stage, Makana blew us away with his 'Epic" show, Chris Birkett' performed his killer rock and roll set, BC Jean showed us she could not only write songs, but SING and perform like nobody's business, and more. Great time! Thanks Fran!
During the KMF I had the incredible opportunity to fait-reconnaissance (that's French) and share my music with Chris Birkett, gifted record maker and singer/songwriter/musician. Chris Birkett
What a gift the KMF was. Thank you Katherine, and Jerry! Thank you to ALL the HUGE Staff of songwriters/music industry/film people who DONATED THEIR time to spend 4 days on Kauai teaching and sharing their musical gifts, and knowledge with us.
( The 4 day conference was only $150 this year. If you are a songwriter, then, it's an absolute gift!
